Situated off the west coast of Scotland, the island of Iona is embraced by the mighty Atlantic Ocean to the west and separated from the Isle of Mull by the Sound of Iona
For centuries, Iona has been a place of pilgrimage, drawing visitors who seek its tranquil, peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. In the early twentieth century, Scotland’s most cherished artists—the Scottish Colourists—frequently visited the island, capturing its vibrant colours in their famous seascapes.
The unique colour palette of Iona’s sands, seas, and rocks inspired us to create a bespoke tartan. Our signature Sound of Iona Tartan reflects the island’s beauty, featuring light pastels inspired by the white sands of Traigh Ban Nam Monach, the pink tones of ancient granite rocks, and the blues of the translucent sea. Iona is woven into many hearts, and through our range of products, we aim to evoke special memories and celebrate this cherished island.
